Sports Turismo Alliance Welcomes Miss Scuba Philippines

Sports Turismo Alliance (STA) welcomes Miss Scuba Philippines (MSP) organization recently as a member to promote the Philippines, adored globally by divers for its dive spots, as a prime sports tourism destination.

In admitting, MSP into the alliance, STA Chairman, Charles Lim revealed, “We have been observing the dynamism and relevance of the Miss Scuba advocacy throughout the years and are confident that the pageant and what it stands for, will certainly contribute greatly to the growth of sports tourism in the Philippines.”
 
Ms Cindy Madduma, Miss Scuba International 2015 and currently MSP national director, expressed great jubilation with this new affiliation. ” We are excited in working closely with Sports Turismo Alliance to promote the Philippines as amongst the world’s best dive sites, if not the best.”
 
“Our advocacy and the pageant activities will surely create a strong awareness in diving as a sport since we are a nation surrounded by oceans,” added Madduma.
 
Miss Scuba International was first held in 2011 in Sipadan Mabul Resort, Sabah, Malaysia, founded by resort owner, Robert Lo in advocating marine conservation, initiating and supporting activities to Save the Ocean. Throughout the years divers representing over 40 countries, meet at Sipadan and extoll the finer beauty of diving as a sport, amidst exploring and appreciating he depths of marine conservation.
 
Both Lim and Madduma expressed the hope that the MSP pageant could be held this year and the Philippines will be accorded the opportunity to host the international pageant in the near future.
